After loosing 2 of the screws for the handle of the Ontario Rat 3 I had used strong adhesive glue to bind that handle scale onto the tang. However after getting the knife wedged into a large log while splitting wood I had to back the knife out using a bit of force with the baton which resulted in the handle scale loosing the last screw and breaking the glue. I have now decided remove the micarta handle scales and put a 550 paracord wrap on the tang. This will lighten up the blade and with removal of the belt clip I will use the Rat 3 as a neck knife to see how it performs.
